Indiana led by 12 points early in the second half, but the Knicks rolled off a 21-4 run to take control of the game. Jalen Brunson was hurt with about 3 1/2 minutes left in the first quarter and did not return in the first half, but still led the Knicks with 29 points. Indiana University alum OF Anunoby and Donte DiVincenzo added 28 points each for New York.
Tyrese Haliburton, who was held to six points in Game 1, scored 34 points to go with nine assists for Indiana. T.J. McConnell finished with a double-double off the bench, scoring 10 points and dishing out 12 assists.
