Four of the five teams ranked nationally through non-conference play have now lost to an unranked (at the time) Pac-12 team, making a case for the conference’s depth.

Comment: The Buffs are the big climbers in the Hotline rankings, up two spots, and also into the AP poll for the first time this season coming off consecutive wins over ranked opponents . Colorado’s only previous wins over top-15 teams in consecutive games were in 1981-82. Frida Formann averaged 21.5 points in the two upsets.NET ranking: No. 26

Comment: Arizona’s one-week run in the No. 2 spot ended with a three-level drop after road losses to the Mountain schools by a combined eight points. That’s more indicative of conference strength than anything fatal for the Wildcats, who fell five spots to No. 19 in the AP poll.Next up: at Oregon State Comment: Like Arizona, Oregon wasn’t far off from a 2-0 weekend and would have been but for a clock error negating a 3-pointer at the close of regulation vs. Washington State.

Comment: The Trojans are No. 6 nationally in scoring defense and have held nine opponents under 50, including Stanford in their streak-busting upset Sunday. Stanford had won 14 straight over USC and 39 in a row over Pac-12 competition. Destiny Littleton is the Pac-12 Player of the Week, an award that teammate Rayah Marshall won two weeks before. USC is up two places in the Hotline rankings and now projected into the NCAA field by ESPN.NET ranking: No.

Comment: The Cougars were teetering with star Charlisse Leger-Walker gone for two games to her native New Zealand . But with her back, they now are on a three-game winning streak and projected as an NCAA qualifier by ESPN. Jessica Clark providing bench help like against Oregon is a necessity going forward.
