Tabitha Foutlz admitted to being on the social media app Snapchat moments before she collided with the buggy, according to court documents.

A Franklin County woman will spend at least three months in jail after pleading guilty to homicide by vehicle and DUI for crashing into a horse-and-buggy last year, killing a teen.according to online court dockets.The 21-year-old is prohibited from using drugs and alcohol as a part of her sentence and will undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation.

A 14-year-old was ejected from the buggy and lying on the road when police arrived at the scene. A 6-year-old also suffered serious injuries and the buggy was “severely damaged,” police said in court records. Foultz admitted to taking amphetamines the night before the crash, and marijuana was found in her system. She also said she was using the social media app Snapchat while she was driving, which investigators confirmed with a search of her phone.
