Owner leaves dog tied to fire hydrant along with note in Wisconsin

in Green Bay, prompting the Wisconsin Humane Society to remind everyone it will never turn away an animal in need.

A post from the WHS says the dog had a note with her explaining the owners could not take care of her anymore.Baby Girl is now being cared for at the WHS, and she's"doing great.""While we'll never let fees be a barrier and we welcome anonymous surrenders, we see that you did what you thought was best for your beloved pup and we are grateful for your compassion.

Wow breaks my heart when I see these types of post. I hope the pup finds a good home. We don’t really know why or what happen and lot of people losing everything. Shelters are overwhelmed with pets and so much going on. 🙏🙏

I can so get it. I've been looking for an apartment, prices are ridiculously high, but what's more upsetting is the weight limit these places have. 15 lbs, 25 lbs...even cats have weight limits. It's discrimination against bigger dogs. No wonder the shelters are full.😕

Most shelters murder dogs within days/hours justifying murdering them by saying they R over crowded, 2 many dogs the same color.They charge people who surrender their dogs. If shelters stop slaughtering animals & take in dogs from folks who have lost everything then people 1/2
