CATASAUQUA, PA—Positively brimming with joy after welcoming the infant into their home, first-time grandparents Edward and Colleen Harris told reporters Friday they were overwhelmed with emotion now that they finally understood what it meant to love a child.
“I can’t even begin to put my happiness into words because I’ve never felt anything like this before,” said the new grandmother, adding that she could think of nothing in her 71 years that could even begin to compare with the experience of looking into the eyes of her newborn grandson, Logan, and seeing a tiny piece of herself reflected back. “It’s as though I never knew what life was really about until this moment.
'If I'd known having grandkids was so great I would have had them first!' ~ Bumper sticker I recently saw
Well, they always say if we knew how great it would be we would have had 'you' first!
🎯🎯🎯
'Now let's give it SUGAR before returning it!'
'Man I never liked YOU kids but THIS kid is great! Okay take it back.'
why is this
Being an aunt or an uncle is just like being a grandparent, but without hassle and expense of having to raise your own kid first. 😎
Talk about swing and a miss.
Proof read peeps. Joke fell flat
Lol
Good, they can raise the kid. Not like I wanted that crotch gremlin anyways.
feeling “what it like” to not edit
After you aborted their first five grandkids, of course your parents don’t love you.
Not if your son is sterile from childhood mumps.
Theres all these abortion comments. I thought it was a joke that they didn't love their own children but feel love for the first time having grandchildren
That burns.
Area Grandma Finally Happy to Hold a Baby That Wasn’t Aborted and Is Still Alive.
“Thanks for not aborting it, like your last 3 !”
I’ve never seen my parents love someone as much as my kids 😂

Editing a headline is hard.

Yeah one that goes home
finally a lovable child
Hitting too close to home.
Edgy, for sure, but also touching. Sometimes it takes a life to learn to love, and better later than never.
*it's 😂😂😂
True haha
Wow. I take it as a stab to boomers. I was fortunate then. My dad was silent Gen. 1933. Mom was boomer. 1945. I'm Gen x 1967. I've had this in my life as normal. I'm truly sorry fir those who didn't.
Ouch.
Yep, this I can attest to.
Damn this hurts 😂😂😂
🤣 relatable
If at first you don't succeed try try again and expect different results...
Parents want you to have children। Emotional satisfaction apart...they want to see you go through what they want through bringing you up।😃
Yikes 😆
Lol
It’s funny cuz it’s true 😔

Sadly with my grandparents that didn't kick in until their third and fourth children gave them grandchildren. I was the oldest grandchild from the oldest child, we did not have it good with them, the great grandchildren from us too. The bitterness lasts long with some.
oooooooof
What it like?
Oh yes, grandparents are like that to the bafflement of their own offspring 🤷🏻♂️🤣.
