Dr. Jen Ashton has the latest data on the risks of eating inside restaurants.About three quarters of the country’s movie theaters are open, but Americans are not going back in significant numbers in the COVID-era, even with new films coming into the marketplace weekly.
This weekend also saw the limited release of two adult dramas, IFC’s “The Nest,” with Jude Law and Carrie Coon, and Bleecker Street’s “The Secrets We Keep,” with Noomi Rapace. Both played in under 500 theaters across the country and neither got much more than $200 per location. “The Nest” earned an estimated $62,000 from 301 locations and “The Secrets We Keep” brought in just under $90,000 from 471 theaters.
The North American earnings have not been promising for studios with theatrical releases on the horizon either. Christopher Nolan's “Tenet” has only earned $36.1 million from North American theaters to date. The performance has led some studios to push back releases even further and some wonder whether more will follow. The next major release on the calendar is Disney and Marvel’s “Black Widow” on Nov. 6.

I basically thought it was a scam until I decided to give it a try with just little start up $600 and I got $3,000.00 in just 7days it was so amazing and everything worked out well TheCryptoDog0
Because: 1. The movies are crap; and 2. The actors should have stayed out of politics. Make your bed, sleep in it.
Why should we? Over priced movie. Over priced snacks and beverages. Unruly audience members some times. I have a huge TV at home. Better audio system. All the snacks and beverages I've already paid for! I can even pause the movie for a break if I have to!
That's because movies are overpriced and quite frankly suck these days
Hollywood has been exposed. This may be a factor.
Bring back the DRIVE IN MOVIE 🍿 🎥 THEATRES
Actors should have stayed out of partisan politics. My family and I are done with Anti American people
Why would anyone want to sit in a room full of strangers during a pandemic if they can avoid it? I got news - most movies were overpriced and over-hyped for the price before the pandemic. I wouldn't even go to see a blockbuster for free under these circumstances.
I was excited when I trade and my profit of $13,400 was sent to I and my family I will be forever greatful to you and your company stock_income_
There aren’t any new movies coming out so why would anyone go
The people don't trust our government when it comes to covid. For obvious reasons. Maybe after Trumpism is dismantled and only a warning from history how corrupt our government can get.
If I never visit a theater for the rest of my life, I would be more than fine. At home I have a nice tv with surround sound, a comfortable sofa, a clean environment, and a quiet place. I could even press pause and go to the bathroom.
That’s because America is sick of “woke” Hollywood. We are also tired of “woke” sports. Watch for numbers to continue their decline.
!
Nope. I cancelled my Regal Unlimited account. I'll wait till movies come out on cable or a streaming service. Just not worth the risk.
Where did you find a pic of a brother who owns a boat?

Why? So a MAGA idiot who wants to fight the mask mandate can sit behind me breathing coronavirus down my neck? Are you kidding me? I won't go back into a movie theater until there's a vaccine, and not when PresCovid19 says there's a vaccine. I don't trust Telling Lies Trump.
Most do not know they are open. I went in and bought some popcorn and told the employees “wow you guys should advertise your open now!” And they literally told me they don’t want customers. Hourly lazy employees are loving this shutdown.
Well duh
Hollywood is dead!
Well between the COVID thing and Hollywood showing their hate and true form. There’s nothing to see and certainly not at $12-$15 a ticket
Go out and live
Still Summer
Too expensive and Hollywood is just filled with left wing liberals trying to tell me how to think.
Partly also because Hollywood movies suck.
Understand fully. A movie buff—- but not yet ready for the theater. shareAMC
There's nothing good to see.
Yeah, weird that people are not hyped to spend $20 for a crowded theater, over priced snacks, people who won't turn the brightness on their phones, crying kids and COVID to see a movie that will stream into their living rooms for half the price 3 months later.
Honestly I haven't been to the movies in years. I only go when big blockbusters that require a gigantic screen are showing. Like Star Wars etc.
If they were open I’d go but it’s Sept 20 - 2020 - and in metro Detroit, we STILL cannot got to the movies because we are BAD people who spread the flu virus. Whitmer singlehandedly shut down Hollywood in Michigan - AND - the woke idiots in Hollywood support her!
Me (laying on deathbed): Sure I became deathly ill after seeing a movie, but at least I got to see 'Avengers 8: Thor's Avenging Vengeance' in 3D before I died. WORTH IT!!!
Movies are waaayyy overrated. I'm not saying they're not worth it but the expense and money earned by the A listers is disgusting. Prop up the working class that work behind the scenes making the movies happen.
Too much woke content
Global pandemic.
It was already too expensive before the pandemic
The less that go, the less chance the virus has to spread.
I want to go so badly, but everyone would act like I’m trying to kill them just by going. Besides I’ve only seen one trailer that hasn’t been for an Apple TV exclusive this whole time
Movie going is so 2019. Who needs that crap?
nobody wants to pay $20 to watch hollywoke propaganda
screw hollywood i say
I wouldn't even consider it. There just isn't any need, and why add to the risk pool? It's a foolish, expensive, unsatisfying risk.
My local theater has been opened for a little while now. I’ve been a few times and it’s perfectly fine.
Turn them into homeless shelters and we can do a complete Americathon franchise thing.
