When the weather starts to turn cooler, there is a lot to be said for getting finely shaved and perfectly dressed and hitting the town. The crisp air brings relief from the summer heat—and less anxiety about sweating through every layer of clothing you've put on.

So too with salads. Sure, they're not as sexy as a night out, but they can still benefit from a good shave and a balanced dressing. And the sweat? Well...I'm not sure where the sweat fits into this analogy. I'm just really glad it's nearly fall, okay? Because that means cauliflower is hitting the farm stands, and while cauliflower may seem like a year-round staple, right now is when its nutty, sweet flavor shines best.
