This election cycle, two constitutional amendments on the May 7 ballot could take some of the financial sting out of school district property taxes, which account for the largest portion of local property taxes. And while these constitutional changes don’t solve all that ails the property tax and appraisal systems in Texas, we recommend a yes vote on both amendments.
