A children’s event featuring a drag queen was shut down when parents intervened on Wednesday in San Fernando Valley, California.Thursday the drag queen story hour was scheduled to happen at the San Fernando Library with Pickle the Drag Queen, whoPickle arriving at the venue, wearing a pink outfit and sunglasses. However, he is quickly surrounded by a group of adults:

According to the Millenial article, the crowd belonged to the groups called Leave Our Kids Alone and Parents’ Voices of the Glendale Unified School District. Due to their demonstration, the event was canceled.the peaceful protest as “chaos,” noting Pickle has done numerous such events but had never experienced one of them being shut down:
