It looks to be a year made for a streamer to win best picture but the problem is that ALL streamers are aware of this. Amazon Studios, Apple TV Plus, Hulu and Netflix are pulling out all the stops to plead their cases with multiple films and strategies. The “purists” in the Academy have started to sense this, and with the theater chains in a dyer state, there could be a coalition to circle the studio films with top contenders. Lots can change and movies need to be nominated first.
