Orthodox Judaism developed in reaction to modernity in the 1700s. Orthodox Jews did not 'write the Talmud.' 🙄
Women doing daf yomi is awesome! But Orthodox Jewish men didn't write the Talmud - orthodoxy was an invention of modernity, a response to reformist movements in Judaism and other religious traditions. Check out Elli Stern's work on the invention of tradition.
