Opinion | Lyric Thompson and Gawain Kripke: Women leaders successfully fighting coronavirus show why we need a feminist foreign policy. - NBCNewsTHINK

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern during a press conference at Parliament on April 23, 2020 in Wellington, New Zealand.Lyric Thompson and Gawain Kripketo pay more than lip service to women’s contributions to the global economy. Suddenly we are hearing more about the female face of essential workers — both on the homefront and on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic. The crisis has shown, again and again, “women’s work” — otherwise known as the care economy — is essential work.

. That’s bigger than the nominal GDP of India, the U.K. and France combined. And that’s a conservative estimate. The pandemic has also shined a spotlight on how intersecting streams of marginalization across race, class and ethnicity combine to keep some segments of the population poorer, sicker and more powerless.

THINK 🤣

THINK Alright, time to turn off Twitter and the useless garbage of the news for the evening.

THINK Sexist BS....

THINK And men too.

THINK So ! Its a mans World !

THINK Ever notice that no one ever estimates the value of men's unpaid work? Just sayin.

THINK Nobody believe it.

THINK I estimate that the world economy loses $20T in lost male productivity due to incessant female nagging.

THINK GovRaimondo is not killing it in RI. She is Saving it. Feature her.

THINK More sexist BS....

THINK Jajaja siempre tan cómicas estas feminazis.

THINK I've been saying this for years! REALLY to bad we didn't get Hillary. So the people knew better than the Electoral College again!

THINK I assume a 'feminist foreign policy' will be a talking point in the Biden administration. But the U.S. has had one for decades now. We invaded Afganistan seventeen years ago, in part, to 'liberate the women,' and we've been bombing their villages ever since.

THINK Sure, femenist foreign policy is great. Remember Benghazi? Remember Libya. I din’t think Hillary’s vagina had anything to do with that monstrosity. Foreign policy is not a pet project. Let’s choose the best and the capable, not the vagina or the penis. Thanks.

THINK Yesterday race, today gender, tomorrow rich & poor? Divisive mind leading is the point.

THINK Sweden has talked about their feminist foreign policy for years, look at them now

THINK 🤣🤣🤣

THINK But who knows if Christchurch bombing was staged or not, she immediately disarmed New Zealanders. So obedient to boss, cruel to people.

THINK It’s not a matter of gender, it’s a matter of smartness. There are male leaders who are outstanding, as well. The same happens with women who are mistaken. Stop looking forward to giving everything a gender perspective.

THINK 呵呵

THINK Lol

THINK Are you assuming their gender?

THINK

THINK Worked for the Sabines...
