The next phase of vaccination against Covid-19 — vaccinating little kids — will be the hardest, writes Kent Sepkowitz for CNNOpinion

Kent Sepkowitz is a CNN medical analyst and a physician and infection control expert at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. The views expressed in this commentary are his own. View more opinion at CNN.

Weeks after the US Food and Drug Administration authorized the Pfizer vaccine for adolescents, the United States hit a crucial milestone: More than half of the US population age 12 and older is now fully vaccinated.. Dr. Kent SepkowitzWhile this was a remarkable accomplishment, it was actually the easy part. The next challenge in the US vaccination program is a real doozy: vaccinating little kids.

Opinion If the government worked this hard to eradicate poverty or overhaul the pathetic justice system just imagine where we would be......little kids are / were never in any danger. This is Stupid!!! Stop with the fear tactics CNN!!!

Opinion Lot of really scared peoplein this comment thread. Kids don’t need the vaccine and it’s starting to become apparent that it might be more a detriment to their health than contracting the virus itself. 🤭

Opinion How many children must die before they admit that they’re killing them intentionally?

Opinion Put it in their candy

Opinion 'Scientists' need to explain, what they mean by Corona 'variants' What exactly changes....the inside or the spike and how...? Until they really explain that, no one should be getting vaccinated. If you're intelligent, you'd truly know & understand Y. The Wise_One A US Navy Vet

Opinion 😡😡

Opinion From the WHO. I don’t trust them either.

Opinion I got my polio vaccine at school.

Opinion No way. Too much still unknown on long-term effects of vaccine. We older ones can take the risk. Younger ones should not take that risk.

Opinion WTF kids are in no danger. Risking the health of little kids to protect the elderly, who are usually already vaccinated anyway, is pure evil, and if you can't see that, there's something very wrong with you.

Opinion This isn’t needed!!!

Opinion Sad how many anti-vaxxers responding to this. My kid will get it, for their sake and to stop the spread overall and put all this behind us.
