Opinion: Abbott, get your priorities straight. Put Texas women first.

Abbott seems to want to lead this country but has only invested in theatrics to gain more financial support. He has no ideas, just ideology. Abbott talks about the complicated immigation problem because it deflects from the real Texas problems that he has neglected: The fact that Texans pay as much as Californians in taxes, that our schools and teachers are neglected, that many Texans cannot see a doctor because we have one of the highest uninsured rates in the country, that there’s no real strategy to deal with hurricane recovery and that Texas women have an appalling childbirth mortality rate.
