It holds true to who she is, and the reason she decided to pursue nursing. “I always wanted to be a nurse. I was always fascinated with helping people. This is not just a job for me, it’s a ministry. I love helping people,” said Wilson.It was a life changing decision for not only her – but the people who watched young Ursula grow up.
The area had not had a healthcare clinic in over 20 years, forcing many to travel over 30 minutes to get care – which is difficult for many of her patients.She became the first African American woman to open up a clinic in Clio.“A lot of times, you have to walk alone on this journey.
