One-on-one with OSU head coach Ryan Day ahead of 2024 season

That and the pressure this season are some of the topics we discussed with Ryan Day. "You're expected to win the rivalry game, win every other game. I said that there in my press conference. That’s the way it is. But, you know, the bottom line, I look at it like this. Like I'd rather have good players going into every season," Day told WSYX. "Our staff has done an unbelievable job, our coaches, our administration, you know the city of Columbus has really helped a lot. Buckeye Nation has really come and support to help give us the resources we need here.

There is still no word on which one of those quarterbacks will be the starter — although Ryan Day admits he doesn't want the competition to linger on into the regular season, admitting last year's battle with Kyle McCord and Devin Brown wasn't ideal for the team.
