The Lifestyle Change That Helped Sportscaster Bonnie Bernstein Reverse Her Hair Loss

She learned that thinning hair was the symptom of a bigger problem: stress.I’ve been a broadcast journalist for 26 years, and I spent a lot of that time being hard on my hair. For years, I used hot tools and harsh products like hairspray almost every single day. Not to mention, I was always stressed out—as a woman in a male-dominated industry, you’re always under a microscope—and stress isn’t good for your hair. I learned that the hard way.

I always had somewhat fine hair but starting in my mid-30s—almost 20 years ago now—I would lose clumps of it in the shower and every time I brushed my hair; it would also snap super easily. My hair loss was the worst around my temples and the crown of my head, not an ideal place when you look directly at a camera for a living. Plus, I often had to wear my hair back while covering games in windy weather, which only highlighted the hair loss in my temple area.

When you work in TV, there’s a level of self-awareness and self-consciousness that come with the territory—especially in the age of social media where people don’t hesitate to write mean things about the way you look—but hair loss amplifies all of that. I was often worried about my hair when I was on camera.

I tried a lot of different solutions: I wore hats and used hair extensions to make up for the thinning. If I was in the studio hosting a show, the extensions were fine. But I was always concerned the wind would blow them off when I was reporting outside. I tried more long-term solutions, like biotin supplements and Rogaine, but I never got the results I was hoping for.

New ways of selling books clash with France’s old pricing rulesA law in France bans the sale of books at anything other than the price decreed by publishers it's the same in Germany, but I can't see it really benefiting'edgier fare.' Nor do we have more independent bookshops than, say, the UK. The regulation is dated and needs to go IMO. Same system applies in GER and AUT in order to make sure that books are being treated as a cultural good and not merely an economic one What are they going to do with all the unsold books ? Burn them Ridiculous is the word that comes to mind !!!!😆😆😆😆😆🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷

Lakers’ pitch to Kawhi Leonard couldn’t include one key element — Paul GeorgeAfter speaking with Magic Johnson, Kawhi Leonard and his uncle met with Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and GM Rob Pelinka, but they couldn't give him what he wanted. Clippers are crazytown He probably wanted sneakers with flags on them, but Colin Kaepernick wouldn't let him Should have waited for Leonard instead of trading 4 Queens buddy. Now the Lakers are flawed and will average 70 points per game.
