Michael Boothe, also known as"Mailman Mike," dropped off his last letter on Saturday in Milwaukee's Riverwest neighborhood.Boothe is retiring at age 56 after being a United States Postal worker for 30 years. Boothe says he delivered in Riverwest for 20 years. His friendships with the people he delivers to span decades."Good to see you grow up buddy. Good to see you grow up. I'm proud of you, you know?" Boothe said to a 24-year-old neighbor while on his route Saturday.

"The little kids when they draw the posters and the chalk on the ground. And how excited they get when they show me the artwork and then show me who I am in the artwork," Boothe said."I think his positivity is something we should all strive for. So I think that certainly, he's a role model for all of us," said Jonathan Dunn, who lives in Riverwest.
"Hopefully we'll see him some more. I don't think you can just walk away from this," said Joe Kavanaugh, another Riverwest neighbor.Boothe may no longer be walking the same route, but he still leaves something special behind.
