Speaking before Tokyo's latest numbers were announced, he said cases were expected to rise in coming days, as testing may have been delayed over holidays last week. "As a city resident myself and as an organizer, my heart hurts that case numbers are rising," Tokyo 2020 spokesperson Masa Takaya told a news conference.He said strict measures were in place inside the"Olympic bubble." Japan has avoided the devastating outbreaks suffered by other countries such as India and the United States, but its fifth wave of the pandemic is straining hospitals.

Don't prolong the 'WORLDWIDE' pandemic: 1) Wear a double-mask for the foreseeable future or until we're all safely out of the woods. 2) Get vaccinated; it's better to be safe than sorry. 3) And, it's far from being over! But, when it's finally over you'll know. 4) Stay safe.

It might help keep the numbers down if those protesting against the Olympics in Japan because of the pandemic, wasn't protesting together in their thousands. Seems a tad counter intuitive to me to be complaining about COVID-19 infections when stood in large groups protesting 🤔
