For Asian American women, Olympics reveal a harsh dualityBEIJING (AP) — Across two pandemic Olympics set in Asian countries, Asian American women fronting the Games have encountered a whiplashing duality — prized on the global stage for their medal-winning talent, buffeted by the escalating crisis of racist abuse at home. Kim has two gold medals to her name, but still worries about her parents with anti-Asian hate crimes in America on the rise. Asian American Women are doing awesome, nothing quells issues faster than success for the country. I applaud their efforts. they will help to soothe this racism with great performances.
