These awards mean absolutely nothing to anyone but iHeartRadio. In order for the the artists to get airplay on their radio stations, they have to show up to this thing and play their regional concert events like Jingle Ball.
I wonder if they only always give the rock awards to the foo fighters because every other rock/metal band knows these awards are bullshit and want no part of them? I am happy Mammoth WVH actually got one. Just need to stop giving rock awards to MGK because he’s not rock.
