Olivia Jade Is Back on YouTube After 9 Months of Silence

But on Sunday, December 1, Olivia returned to YouTube to announce that she’s officially making her return.titled “Hi Again,” Olivia acknowledged her long absence, telling her followers that she wishes she could fill them in on more of the details going on in her life.

Olivia emphasized that she wasn’t sure if it was worth returning to the online world if she couldn't address the elephant in the room. “If I can't talk about it, is there a point in coming back and not being able to say anything?” she mused. “There’s no point in me talking to the camera for 10 minutes about how I wish I could say something but really can’t.”

But ultimately, it seems as though her love of her fans won out — even if she was “terrified” to make this new video. “Thank you so much for your patience, or if you stuck around…waiting,” she said. “I really appreciate it. This is the best I can do. I want to move on with my life. I’m not trying to make this about me…because that’s not the point of this…. The moral of the story is: I’ve missed you guys so much, and I’m just really excited to start filming again.

I'm rooting for her, even though I don't understand the appeal of influencers. The 'admissions scandal' is overrated. The people involved were in the wrong, but how different is it from the usual legacy/donation practices that get a lot of less-qualified/over-privileged people in
