, the former Ohio State quarterbacks coach has now joined Ole Miss’ staff in the same capacity. Dennis is listed in
When Ohio State initially hired Bill O’Brien as its offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in January, Dennis was expected to “transition into a still-to-be-determined role with the program,” per an Ohio State news release at the time. That role never materialized, however, as Dennis left to join Kyle Whittingham’s staff at Utah. Just 17 days after he was confirmed as a staff member at Utah, Dennis is now on Lane Kiffin’s staff at Mississippi.
Dennis spent nine years with the Buckeyes, starting his coaching career as an Ohio State intern in 2015 and working his way up to become a graduate assistant in 2016-17 and a senior quality control coach in 2018-19.
Of the three coaches from Ohio State’s 2023 coaching staff who were not retained for 2024, Dennis is the only one who has landed a new job for the 2024 season so far. Former safeties coach Perry Eliano and former special teams coordinator Parker Fleming have not announced new positions since Ohio State let them go in January.
