“I have to have surgery on my foot because it's gotten that bad since the third game,” Henderson told The Dispatch. “I’ve just been making it worse going back out there.” “It’s real painful. I barely practiced all season. I went through a bunch of different cleats to try to push through it, but the pain was crazy. I really don’t know how I was able to push through it in the games I did play in. I just tried to do the best I can.”
Henderson initially suffered the injury during Ohio State’s third game of the season against Toledo. He returned to play in five of the Buckeyes’ final nine games but was never fully healthy.Henderson finishes his sophomore season with only 571 yards and six touchdowns on 107 carries. By comparison, Henderson ran for 1,255 yards and 15 touchdowns on 184 carries as a true freshman.
Without Henderson, Ohio State’s running back rotation will likely consist of some combination of Miyan Williams, Dallan Hayden and Chip Trayanum when the Buckeyes play Georgia in the Peach Bowl. Williams is also working his way back to health after he suffered an ankle sprain in the Buckeyes’ third-to-last game of the regular season against Indiana, but was healthy enough to play against Michigan, albeit in a limited capacity.
Staff has mismanaged rotations and play all year. Our entire rb core is injured. Hayden has best game of an rb in 2 years and doesn’t see more than 2 carrys the following week. Playing injured players against bad teams. Our dl rotations and db rotations are questionable

TreVeyon shouldn’t have been playing at all after this injury. I love Miya Williams and Hayden but Henderson brings a unique running/catching dynamic when healthy. The teams doctors/training staff should be re-evaluated. Now rumors of his transfer?! Ridiculous

One of the most aggravating thing about this season has been people who don't understand that the preseason billing for this offense wasn't proven wrong - they've been playing with key people missing off and on all year, and will be again in Atlanta.

I just don't see this as hurting though, Buckeyes need a really physical guy through the CFP and that's Miyan, not Trey Also, Dallan is a capable back-up to fill the jitterbug role so I just don't see this as that impactful
