Between 12/24 and 12/31, the daily COVID-19 patient count in Ohio hospitals grew by 944, culminating in the highest-ever COVID patient count – 5,601 – on Dec. 31. And Ohio Hospital Association data shows that count rose even more New Year's Day, to 5,695.
