Do you agree with these state Republicans?

The New York City Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor and law-enforcement partners took down a major drug packaging operation in the Morris Heights neighborhood of the Bronx in 2021. Authorities seized nearly 40 pounds of alleged heroin and fentanyl. During raids of two apartments and a car, authorities allegedly recovered over 225,000 glassine envelopes containing a heroin/fentanyl mixture.

The letter said U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported a 1,066 percent increase in fentanyl seized at eight Texas ports during the 2021 fiscal year and chided the administration for failing to stem the influx. It said fentanyl and fentanyl-related substances continue to fuel an overdose epidemic, killing 64,178 Americans between May 2020 and April 2021.

Congress and the Drug Enforcement Administration administrator both have the power to place drugs on the list of federally controlled substances and determine how stringently they should be controlled. While Congress makes those decisions through legislation, DEA uses a complex administrative process that can take years.

In December, U.S. Rep. Bob Latta, a Bowling Green Republican, introduced legislation with Virginia Republican Morgan Griffith that would permanently classify fentanyl as a Schedule I drug.

Ridiculous. First off, fentanyl is a highly useful pain reliever if used properly - especially for those who are allergic to other analgesics. Secondly, how does scheduling a drug as 'useless' reduce its ILLEGAL usage/accessibility? You're only hurting those who need it.

You can’t get any brighter or less corrupt than O hip Republicans. Despite you’re liberal bias, most agree.

Pharma-Funded Republican Blocks Sanders’s Demand for Vote on Drug Price BillBernie Sanders demanded on the Senate floor that the chamber immediately take up debate on his new bill to lower prescription drug prices – but the effort was blocked by a Republican who has received nearly $300,000 from the pharmaceutical industry. Was it manchin? VenetyaE One thing that kills me is Senators have so much power, but they sell out their constituents and the nation for so little. That vote was worth 100x what it was sold for. Bernie, on the other hand, does not have a price. No wonder people love him
