Cleveland businessman Bernie Moreno won Ohio’s Republican Senate primary on Tuesday, just days after former President Donald Trump visited the state to boost his endorsed candidate in a three-way race that remained competitive to the end.
Locally, there are some important races on the ballot. Franklin County has the race for the prosecuting attorney on its democratic ballot. Olentangy Schools and Norwich Township have also added levies.The levy failed by nearly 7,000 votes. Had they levy passed, it would have helped accommodate 5,000 more students in 10 years.The money from the 4.9-mill permanent levy will be used to increase staffing levels, add a fourth ambulance, a second ladder truck and help construct a fourth fire station.
