The duo charged $39.44 for 8-ounce bottles of Purell Advanced Hand Sanitizer Refreshing Gel, which cost $3.53 on Amazon prior to the pandemic.

He said he is asking the court to issue an order that would require the couple to reimburse their customers and pay civil penalties.

The lawsuit filed in the Athens County Common Pleas Court accuses them of violating Ohio’s Consumer Sales Practices Act, saying the couple unfairly inflated prices in response to unforeseen events that caused an increase in demand during a national health crisis.Earlier in the pandemic, Yost sued a northeast Ohio man and his partners for hoarding N95 respirator masks and selling them online for 18 times the retail price.

Salwan settled the case by refunding more than $15,000 to those who bought masks from him. Salwan also reimbursed the state $1,500 for investigative costs and gave 570 N95 masks to first responders and health care professionals.

Who were the folks stupid enough to buy it at that price? The responsibility goes both ways. It isn't as if hand sanitizer is life saving medicine. It isn't something you have to buy. A fool & his money are soon parted.

That’s not even that bad.

Mmm isn't this the capitalism you love and hope to achieve?

How can I buy

Common... If GOP Senators can sell millions dollars worth of stock based on their insider information, these two are not worth the paper space & taxpayers money to write about & sue them. State AGs should better focus on how 2020 Care Act money were distributed by banks.

1o years in prison . . . period!

So heartless
