State election officials have told a congressional committee that threats to their safety have been widespread since the 2020 vote. They say experienced administrators are leaving the field, undermining the ability to run trustworthy elections in the U.S.

“Let’s be clear, this is domestic terrorism,” said Al Schmidt, a Republican city commissioner in Philadelphia and a member of the Board of Elections. “The whole point is to terrorize, to intimidate and to coerce.”

Cybersecurity and election administration experts in the Trump administration said the 2020 election was secure, and no evidence have widespread fraud has been found. But Trump and an army of his supporters have aggressively promoted the false narrative that the election was stolen from him and have pushed for audits led by people who share their views.

Michael Adams, the Republican Secretary of State of Kentucky said said he’s faced verbal abuse form Democrats accusing him of promoting vote suppression.

Now it isn't trustworthy? Really? 2016 Russia hacked it, 2020 the counting stopped and magically more ballots than voters happened but NOW it will be untrustworthy? What drugs are you on, and will you share?

In other words, it’s harder for Democrats to cheat.

So it's literally terrorism. Harassing election officials should be a crime. Where is the enforcement? Why is this being tolerated and not be more a story?

They want to get their people in to undermine the elections. They are doing this with everything. They threaten people till they leave, then install people who want to do damage.

This system of government is a corrupt failure. We should replace it with a lottery system. No more elections, campaign ads, or political parties. Randomly selected representatives serve one term and no more across all levels of government. Versions existed in Athens & Florence.

Investigate and charge them.

I like all these Republican audits after they try to rig elections and congressional maps, they just keep finding more votes for Dems, maybe they should take the hint already

Trump's effect on the US is pervasive, poisonous and long lasting. At the very least. At worst, we might not overcome it. There is work to do to save this country.

_Politics They cheated voters did they not think there wouldn't be consequences for their actions ?

thanks
