Ocho diarios estadounidenses demandaron a OpenAI, creadora de ChatGPT, y a Microsoft, acusando a esas empresas tecnológicas de haber “sustraído millones” de artículos periodísticos protegidos por derechos de autor sin autorización y sin pagar, para entrenar a sus chatbots de inteligencia artificial.

Ocho diarios estadounidenses demandaron a OpenAI, creadora de ChatGPT, y a Microsoft, acusando a esas empresas tecnológicas de haber “sustraído millones” de artículos periodísticos protegidos por derechos de autor sin autorización y sin pagar, para entrenar a sus chatbots de inteligencia artificial. El New York Daily News, el Chicago Tribune, el Denver Post y otros diarios presentaron la demanda el martes en un tribunal federal de Nueva York.

“Si bien no conocíamos las preocupaciones de Alden Global Capital, participamos activamente en asociaciones y conversaciones constructivas con muchas organizaciones de noticias de todo el mundo para explorar oportunidades, analizar cualquier preocupación y dar soluciones”, dice el comunicado.
