A 44-year-old man has been linked to two Oakland fatal shootings that occurred within two days of each other.

OAKLAND — Eighteen months after he was arrested and charged in connection with a Sept. 28, 2020 home invasion robbery and homicide, an Oakland man has been hit with a new murder charge alleging he shot and killed a man under similar circumstances just two days later.

Ignacio has been in Santa Rita Jail in Dublin since November 2020, when he was identified as one of three people responsible for a home invasion robbery in which two victims were shot, one fatally. In that case, authorities have named Ignacio as one of two people suspected of shooting murdering 29-year-old Daniel Lucero during a robbery on the 1700 block of Church Street.

Ignacio has also been charged with gun possession in relation to the Sept. 30, 2020 shooting. He has prior convictions for gun possession, according to the criminal complaint.
