NYC Enacts Law Allowing Noncitizens To Vote In Local ElectionsThe new law took effect at the stroke of midnight Sunday, 30-days after it was passed by the City Council. It will enable anyone who has been legally living and working in the city for 30-days to register and vote in local elections. Bravo progress! I think 30 days is too short a window to influence local elections, but I agree that actual permanent or long term residents of the city should be able to vote on local issues regardless of fed status. I disagree 30 days should make someone a voting resident. A year? Certainly. WRONG. no one who is an illegal undocumented has should HAVE the right to determine legislation. ITS MINORITY PANDERING. And No they don't pay FED TAXES

New NYC law allows its 800,000 noncitizens and 'Dreamers' to voteIt's a watershed moment for the most populous U.S. city, where voting-age noncitizens comprise nearly one in nine of 7 million voting-age New Yorkers. Not even ABC7 could make this sound like a good idea. Eric Adams will prove to be a corrupt disaster I don't like it
