We fight over access but never discuss Cost. Healthcare costs 18% of GDP, highest in the industrial world with mediocre outcomes & $23B. in profits since 2018. Profits drive Wealth Creation, but when it violates PublicInterest, it does flirt with extortion.
I found a way around it thanks to Trump taking away the mandate and making it legal to have catastrophic health insurance again. This year I paid 1,000 a month for ACA and had all kinds of tests. No issues. Next year I will pay 200.00 a month for catastrophic insurance. Repeat.

Sad story this morning on news. Many residents of small New Mexico city, with only a single hospital, are being sued and having wages garnished by hospital for overdue medical emergency bills. Most had insurance. Inadequate insurance.
