NRA supporters still back Pres. Trump, even if he's bad for business.

President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence are scheduled today to speak to gun enthusiasts at the NRA, a group that made a multi-million-dollar investment in their campaign in 2016.

The NRA spent $30.3 million to support Trump's campaign in 2016, according to Open Secrets, and doubled down on NRA-sponsored advertising in key states where the president claimed victory. For many voters, the debate over firearms likely will remain a key issue in 2020, with voters on both sides gearing up to back candidates on both sides of the issue. Ahead of the 2018 midterms, 60% of voters listed gun policy as"very important" among voting choices, according to the survey by the Kaiser Family Foundation.

Highsmith is in a unique position as a gun shop owner. While he personally supports Donald Trump, it hurts his business. That said, the NRA and Trump don't always agree -- the president has called for raising the purchasing age to 21 from 18 despite fierce opposition from the group.

The NRA embarrassed itself by accepting 19 million to help trump and wasted 31 million of its members money to help elect the dullard. It is tone deaf regarding the slaughter in our schools, chuches, malls. Time for it to reform or die ( form NRA mbr here)

It’s guns or hotdogs. Idk.

Former Sen. Bob Corker: A Republican Challenger to Trump in 2020 Would Be Good for America'Typically, to unite people, you have to wish to do so, and I think that currently, the President has not found that to his benefit or to his liking,' Corker said. ANOTHER JEFF FLAKE - USELESS - P.O.S It would be a sacrifice foul but definitely healthy for our country. To debate trump on the national stage....to call him out. He’d likely not accept any debates though. You’d be taking one for the team but you’d be perfect BobCorker.

Andy McKean, the longest-serving Republican in the Iowa Legislature, announced that he will register as a Democrat and vote with their caucus. The left drifted away from union democrats for radical, foreign, socialism. Whatever it takes to keep that career going. I heard the redrawn lines aren’t looking good if you’re an R I'd wish he stay and fight for the soul of his party. There are real conservatives out their & the country & GOP needs their voice.

This Republican thinks Democrats should force a vote on TrumpDonald Trump is being largely supported by the GOP establishment following the release of the redacted Mueller report. Joy Reid and her panel discuss whether Democrats should push for impeachment despite the GOP controlling the Senate. Shocker. They’re way too far in that hole to pull out now. If defending America or even thier own sense of shame we’re going to cause any of them to act, they’d have done it a year ago. GOP should take this opportunity to ditch Trump and save their souls. If ever there were an excuse.
