fucking rediculious!!!!!

It's going to take quite a campaign to rebrand the virus. I'm sure npr is up to the task.

At no point does the article point out that Monkey Pox does not come from monkeys. Squirrel or Rat Pox may be a more accurate name.

It’s racist to assume monkeypox is a racist name

Look we already collectively decided it should be donkeypox (à la donkeykong)

Why would anyone believe anything the WHO says after their misinformation and mishandling of Covid?

Are you saying Africans are monkeys?

I’ve suspected the scientists at the WHO to be monkeys for sometime, this confirms.

Can we still use the pics of the homophobic chihuahua to joke about its transmission?

Magapox?

So from now on it will be known as ''New Name', formerly called Monkey Pox'.

We should ban monkeys - the animals. This is the only way we can reduce the social harm of someone thinking of something else when they visit the Zoo or watch King Kong.

Maybe soon we’ll soon go back into the history books, and give them a good cleaning-out as well. Terms like “Black Death,” and “Spanish Flu,” are simply outdated and stigmatizing.

So it should be gay anal sex pox instead?

Discriminatory and stigmatizing for who? PETA?

Discriminatory and stigmatizing and it's wrong to name a virus after parts of Africa monkeypox has been named this for decades you're just now deciding that it is discriminatory and stigmatizing aren't we getting a little too sensitive for our own good

Why not? They renamed the flu.

Poxy McPoxFace!

Black people so fragile

Kkkonservatives loveddd mocking that name ..they would never take that 'monkey' vaccine
