Netflix lost 200,000 U.S. subscribers in the first quarter of 2022 — the first drop in more than a decade, the company said, adding that 100 million households are believed to be using someone else's account.

They’ll be back…

When you try to share your Netflix password with your grandma:

You pay for a certain number of simultaneous viewers. It shouldnt matter where the F they live when its being used. What family in their right mind is going to pay for Multiple 2+ Viewers at a time accounts when they can just pay for 1 Family account. 1/2

Damn freeboaters.

Hey Netflix. How about stop people from sharing passwords and using that revenue to cut prices. I’m sick of Netflix raising prices. It’s getting closer and closer to me canceling.

So…if 100m are using someone else account, netflix is doing even worse financially. Maybe people are tired of crappy content?

Netflix lost a YUGE amount of British/Foreign series. On top of that they raised their fees a few times.

People be downloading cars too. Honestly never would have guessed a third of the population American is stealing netflix. I wonder if Americans are a majority of the pirates.

Yeah, I pay every other month now and dropped to the cheapest pkg. There are other options and I rarely miss anything with my new cost effective every other month plan. 😉

Red envelopes forever!📬

Hmmm…it couldn’t be that they raised their prices twice within the past year.

No, it's the shitty woke programing.

So now they can, once again, raise their price on what few they have left. Me.

You forgot to mention that 700,000 subscribers in Russia were dropped. It would otherwise be 500,000 users added.

Raised fees and now we have to stream like 5 or more different platforms. Could it be that people made a choice? I go months without watching Netflix. I just cancelled 2 streaming platforms because I wasn't watching. It doesn't have to be this hard to understand.

perhaps it was the price increases?

TV...............................antenna.

I love this! Rather than make their product better Netflix blames it's customers for their corporate problems. Netflix whiners

Lol or it could be getting rid of good content and raising the cost of a decent quality streaming subscription to $19.99/mo. I cancelled and am not sharing passwords.

Then that’s a low estimate lol

Guess they didn't think lowering their price during the pandemic was a goodwill strategy to secure existing and grow more subscribers. What did they do? Increase the price and now removing sharing and wondered why they lost subscribers and will lose more.

Stop allowing password sharing and they will loose even more customers

After last increase my finger is twitching on the cancel button.
