I cut my hand , ended up in emergency room , the doctor who stitched me up ( and did amazing job )charged me $1,300.00 , which I gladly paid right away , but total hospital bill is $8,000 and something. Not fair! Maimonides hospital center .

America is a 3rd world country. Your GDP may be 10s of trillions but that means nothing if your healthcare is not accessible to all, education is 🗑 and your infrastructure is crumbling.
Americans don't pay for defence or policing on an individual basis - they are universal services based on tax and 'free at the the point of use'. Why is universal healthcare any different? 'Noooo, that's socialism!!!'
