They are hard to remove, but unenforceable. So, history can’t change, and today nobody is living in the past. Moral of the story: if you dig hard enough, you can find something to show you are being oppressed, even though nobody knew about it and there was no oppression today.

Recently found out that my office condo is in a neighborhood that explicitly prohibits the selling of land and/or property to a person of color. A poor chap wanted to buy a property and required the other owners to sign off on this requirement.
The human experiment is an utter failure.
