So not the first black man just the first black team? Why are you so focused on color? There's been whites, Asians, Thais, Chinese, Koreans all summited. Never focused on color just their nation.

Mountain climbing… I guess I don’t get it. Purposely putting urself in danger expecting others to rescue them putting the rescuers in danger… selfish

What about me? I wanna climb Everest with this group. Oh, yeah I'm excluded because of the color of my skin.

Have you been to any city ever? Black folks are always outside roaming around. Selling drugs mostly, but they're outside. Cue the race card... Go!

A State or Federal Park Campground is more in reach requiring minimal gear/expense

I think a lot about the fact that I never see black people when I'm hiking.

Godspeed

DoorToOutdoors reminded me of your mission

Why? It's been done thousands of times.

Climbing Everest was never a goal that inspired me.

NPR Cookie Consent and ChoicesBishopNaomi Our school district is not following that guidance. My kid (who is only unvaccinated because he’s too young) was a “close contact” and they put him on “modified quarantine,” which is just testing 2x/week. The anti-vax and anti-mask crowd aren't helping kids learn since switching from remote/in-class/remote/in-class... is worse than just going remote. Moreover, kids are being hospitalized in FL at a very high rate - jeopardizing many kids' lives and futures with LongCovid. We need a federally funded online/virtual option asap + Schools need some of the home tests potus purchased this week + We need the federal government to ship better masks (n/kn95’s or kn94’s) to everyone in a K-12 building + HEPA air filters in all classes
