Why would a private citizen have standing to sue? What is their injury? Of course, the state can pursue charges injurious to persons or the public welfare. Don’t see how this is constitutional
It sounds like the Taliban is already suppressing women’s rights and freedoms, now the Taliban is in the Texas legislator influencing and enacting laws to keep women second class citizens, punishing anyone who tries to help them.
This law is so punitive, like so much that is being done in our country by the far right. Suing people?! So many Americans are so ignorant of history.
This is a good thing. It protects human beings with a heart beat in the womb. We should not resort to death to solving our problems. We should celebrate life, not take it.
Well played Texas. They want this to go to the Supreme Court, and Roe v. Wade will probably be overturned 6-3.

Domestic terrorism is being allowed to run rampant in these communities by the right wing politicians who see this as a way of gaining and maintaining power. And these are examples of messy democracy getting messed up by bullies and thugs. Center right and center left will prevail. In the meantime, frustration and angst will be the norm.
