Climate change emigrees, Will happen every year. The poor are doomed: governor did not land buses to evacuate them. Learned nothing from Katrina. Hope they take the inmates out of the low-lying prisons so they all don’t drown

I live in Denver but I’m a New Orleans native with most of my family still there. Please keep everyone in our area in your thoughts and prayers!

chatlanis My girlfriend lost her house to Katrina when she was 12, the constant comparisons of one storm to another in the media have brought on some painful memories and anxiety. I’ve had to constantly reminder her that this isn’t Katrina because of this type of lazy writing

After the storm I think we need to have a serious conversation about federally funded relocation of NOLA residents. Climate change means this is only the beginning.

The sad reality is a major city has no business being located where NOLA is - and man has been forcing the Mississippi River to go where man wants it for many decades. Eventually nature comes to call.
