Biles' decision not to compete in the team final and individual all-around final in order to preserve her mental health has inspired current and former Olympians to also open up about the pressures that face the world's top athletes.

Does anyone out there think that it’s easy to an Olympian Of course it’s incredibly difficult.

TimOBrien 🔊 The elephant in the room is felonious Nassar. Ms Biles lives, deals with, copes, with ALL of that, every breathing moment.

The Olympics are pressure? Who knew? Other than everyone.

TimOBrien I think she was trying to preserve the health of her spinal column. Let’s not analyze this to death. She lost her special orientation for whatever reason, likely stress. She rightly stepped aside giving her prepared teammates the chance to shine and they did!

she's already won without stepping into the arena.

Dealing with the pressure is what separates the best from the rest. Simone Biles' GOAT status has been REVOKED.

TimOBrien Yes, celebrate Ms. Lee. Biles is not the team. The team: Sunisa Lee, Jordan Chiles and Grace McCallum as well as Jade Carey and MyKayla Skinner: Say THEIR names!

TimOBrien If only more of us were half as intelligent & self-aware as Simone Biles Brave & Courageous as well A remarkable human being

She doesn't get to go next time. The end.

Has any of the doctors at the Olympics medically diagnosed her with any form of mental illness? Is it a stunt to disrespect America like kneeling to the national anthem or any of that BLM movement? Her timing is very questionable. However, we sympathize with her if it is true.

I would like to see the girl that was one spot away from making the team interviewed about how she feels about this.
