Insurance should not be able to dictate a patient’s treatment.
The insurance company has too much say over our health. We pay in every pay period, at times over $400 every two weeks. The insured and the PCP ought to be able to tell the insurance company what is needed and recommended.
It should be illegal for health insurance to dictate healthcare. They make decisions NOT in the best interest of the patient, but instead in the best interest of their bottom line.

Of course, it is regarding women’s bodies and mental health. Why should we be able to make informed decisions with our doctors about our own well being? We need rich people without medical training that we pay a bunch of money to not cover our needs to tell us what to do.

When my son was 10 years old, with OCD/ADHD there was one drug of choice. But insurance wouldn’t pay for it until he tried and failed with a stimulant medication which everyone knew would make him psychotic. It did. In the middle of a school day. He was out of control. Disgusting
