Companies have been doing this for years. Soup cans are smaller. Evaporated milk cans are smaller. All products are less ounces, etc. but the price always goes up. Sad.

brouhaha Packaging is also worse. You can’t pick up a cereal box anymore without crushing it because the cardboard is so thin. Similar with bottled water. We should really just go back to buying such things in bulk and using reusable and robust containers.

We bought tositos salsa this week - same size jar but it was nearly 1/3 thin liquid. We notice.

30 years ago as a new mom my friends and I commiserated about shrinking diaper packages but no shrinking prices. One friend even called customer service. 'It is what Moms tell us they want' she was told.🥴

I pay attention to the size. They aren’t fooling anyone. I remember several years back when milk started getting expensive, ice cream companies were making the same sized carton but with a 2” hollow bottom. They finally gave up & now openly insult us with amount & price.
