The hospital says that nearly all of its roughly 26,000 employees agreed to the policy, but suspended nearly 200 staff members without pay for refusing to comply.

Couple of months ago I came across a recommendation about GeorgeLinf32 wealth how he helped investors to earn lots of money with their investments. and I decided to give a trial with the little I have. Now my little has turned into something great which was not my expectation

If a lot of Hospital workers are refusing the vaccine you might want to think twice about the safety of That vaccine.

Good for them.

These stupid fucks compared the vaccine requirement to medical experiments done under coersion and as a form of torture by the Nazis. These are people with jobs, stable futures, and aren't currently being exterminated by a fascist crusade... my god

You are entitled to have an opinion, but not to facts. Living in a haze where there’s opinion than facts has consequences. There’s a continuing crisis of ignorance that will need to be addressed.

Which says to me, Biden could mandate all those without a medical condition preventing them from being vaccinated must do so.

Caregivers need Hep B vaccinations, TB tests, MMR proof of vaccinations, etc. Did they want to sue for those requirements too 🤔 Get the damn shot!!

Sorry, but 200/26,000 = 0.007692307692308 Less than 1% of their employees refused. And it wasn’t even the full 200 ppl; without rounding, it was LESS.

Yep suspension is a gift

And that is why it is so, so important to read and reread policies before agreeing and/or signing them

So it is not 'sentencing them to bankruptcy '. There are an insane number of jobs for nurses and medical staff all over the country in the travel nursing field, many offering higher wages &bonuses. That is if these idiots can find travel nursing agencies not requiring the vax.

Decision is correct. Most hospital systems allow exemptions: religious, medical and philosophical. Claiming the vaccines are “dangerous and experimental” sounds like some seriously uneducated and/or stupid “health care” workers

All I read was 25,800 employees followed through on their commitments and 200 employees got cold feet. How you gonna agree to it then back out and sue?

Good

I wonder how many were health care providers vs. non-providers/support employees.

Good. Just go work somewhere else.

The employees also compared the requirement to get a COVID vax to the Nazis’ forced experimentation on Jews. Wtf is wrong with people like this and why must they drag Jews into their stupid bullsh*t. You will never understand their pain and trauma, so just STOP.

Imagine the legal liability of the hospital if these nurses are not vaccinated: I go to the hospital, get COVID-19, nurse treating me wasn’t vaccinated = Instant Lawsuit $$$$$$ . It’s like winning the Texas lottery.

There's also a decent chance these people aren't clinical workers (Nurses, Doctors, etc.) and aren't any more informed than your average Joe. Houston Methodist employs huge numbers of IT staff, building engineers, janitors, administrative roles, business roles, etc.

See ya! You work in a hospital, get vaccinated ffs. You are endangering patients

Idiots. They need to find work elsewhere. I am vaccinated to protect strangers. They work with sick and vulnerable people. My God.

The funny thing is that its Texas…

This violates every clause of the Nuremberg code. Especially as long as the vaccine remains EUA which by definition makes it experimental.

Hospitals made their property tobacco free to protect everyone, not only the patients. Don't you think the hospitals should be at least as concerned about stopping the spread of a virulent virus? Just another sorry episode of “Life Among the Philistines.'🙄

It’s not like companies allow you to disagree with change in company policies

Imagine if these 178 hospital workers sued because they were fired for refusing to wear gloves while operating on patients... You have every right to choose not to be vaccinated But your employers has every right to fire you And society has every right to shun you

Fire them. The profession dictates compliance.

Suspend? Terminate them!

This is probably not unusual. Unless the vaccine is mandatory you are always going to have people who refuse. Just being a doctor or nurse doesn’t make you smart. That woman trying to stick the key on her supposedly-magnetized neck was a nurse. I’m just sayin’.

It is beyond the pale that anyone working at a HOSPITAL would refuse to be vaccinated against a deadly viral disease, or even believe that they should have the right to refuse. In fact, their refusal should be considered criminal.

Totally support the hospital 100%!!

Weird. They have to have TB and other vaccines. But Covid is different. Let me guess who they vote for!!

If you’re gonna be in a science related field then you should… science. They should have whatever license taken away.

Honestly this is a better ratio than the United States current vaccination rate. When you hear 200 employees won't get the vaccine it sounds impressive until you hear it's out of 26,000......

Conservatives believe in the rights of these companies and support at will employment. Funny how conservatives never seem to want to realize what that means when it comes to their own jobs and their beliefs.

What if the hospital simply assisted those employees into a different position for the hospital, or a new job? Our hospital let many pregnant and immunocompromised employees have home health positions. Not the same thing, but they heard the concern and assisted how they could. 🤷🏻

This certainly, is concerning. A type of or you would think of a wrongful termination. Policy? Next they're gonna say no vaccination no service. Definitely, seems like a problem.

Good. Pretty basic “do no harm” policy

They thought they were going to win? Shame on them 'healthcare workers'😒🤣🤣

Everyone EVER who has been required to have a TB test for work or certain vax’s so their kids could go to school have zero sympathy for the folks who work AT A HOSPITAL who refuse to get vaccinated. Be free folks…be free 🙄

Good

26000 employees? I work for the biggest hospital system in my state with 3 hospitals and multiple outpatient clinics and we are only at around 12,000 staff members.

Vaccination policies in hospitals and care facilities are nothing new. Hep B is mandatory in many ER and dialysis units. Flu shots in care facilities. You have the right to say no, but the facilities have a right to say someone else can have your job if that's the case.

Sorry not sorry

Texas gonna Texas

Good, you have no right to infect me or others.

NPR Cookie Consent and ChoicesDrinking is glorified in our society I have to say, I stayed home the entire Covid stay-at-home order, and beyond. Almost 15 months alone at home. It never occurred to me to drink alcohol while I was lone. It seemed seedy, somehow. Not a drop. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Is this good, bad or just a reflection of generalized depression?

NPR Cookie Consent and ChoicesThis is about workplace/patient safety, not individual rights. They'll lose their suit big time. Can we just let Texas secede already? They already want to be by themselves, so just let them go. Would take two people to hold the arms and legs, one to give the shot
