Why not “Texas” it with an easier to come by Six Flags park, some tax incentives and some tech and other industry? Give the universities a once over, make them affordable and invite diverse people from all over the globe. That’ll do it.

“To make things better in the kingdom we should give all the money to the king”

And readin' and writin'

The beautiful Shenandoah Valley in the panhandle, pioneers who crossed the Allegheny Mountains to settled the Virginia territory and the ground that holds the blood of Americans from our civil war would disagree. An amusement park... that’s funny.

Lower your cost of living is what attracts people. Cut tax is to attract only rich people. But rich people live anywhere they want bc they can. Why would they pick West Virginia than say Hawaii

What Republicans can't see is that when you focus on cutting taxes you also cut quality of life. And that is why people leave your state.

Want more productive people to move to WV? Raise your minimum wage to $15, pass strong gun safety laws, put money into education budget not into tax cuts, make room for more public lands, expand voting rights, support renewable energy.

Most companies want natural resources like an educated work force, a decent airport, natural beauty, and support services like uninterrupted power, water, etc. When you guys start working on all of these, let us know.

If they can keep the socialists away, WV might be the best state ever. If they can keep New Yorkers and Californians away....

The man who wouldn't pay taxes owed in Kentucky's poor counties. Did he ever pay those taxes?

I mean you could cut income tax for those under $400k and double it for those over.

It won't work.

People avoid WV bc their public schools are horrendous not bc it doesn’t have an amusement park. Charge taxes to pay teachers and families will come.

'I want to make my state worse to trick people into thinking it's better.' Hmmm 🤔

nope. You're racist backwards thinking is literally why I wont move there.

No income tax and cheap land ? Well then take me home country roads.

Yeah, that never works. Plus, Disney in WV? They’re in CA & FL where there’s pretty decent weather most of the year, sooo... unlikely! 🥴

JimJusticeWV U.S. Rankings Education - 49 Poverty - 46 Opioid Overdose deaths - 1 Yeah, lower taxes will TOTALLY get people to move there.

Ask Kansas how that worked out for them.

This water slide really holds the poverty together

People are escaping BLM violence in cities. People are fleeing California and New York because of the high taxes, This is brilliant. There is a reason celebrities like Musk, Rogan, and Silicon Valley's brightest relocated to Texas, Florida, and Tennessee.

Did he try to find out why people are leaving? Here’s an idea...maybe it’s the state’s politics.

Maybe if he moved to another state it would help.

Kentucky just wants Jim to pay us the back taxes he owes us for his coal companies.

A dangerous fool.

But I thought Trump revived WV economy by bringing back the coal mining industry? So why is the governor making such plans? 🤔

Get rid of this clown and Joe Manchin and 1/2 the problem would be solved

Republicans-the party of anti- Anti-the anti-Trump, anti-immigration bill, anti-electrical regulation then anti the anti-electrical regulation, Anti & anti infrastructure, Anti-protest anti the anti-white protest, anti Getting anything done. Now anti vaccine? Do something!

Is it going to be a mothman amusement park?

Low taxes don’t bring people, good jobs, and good jobs arrive with good education and good education is accomplished through taxes. That’s why California and New York are send their taxes to states like West Virginia that would be bankrupt otherwise

'Mickey Mouse state, Mickey Mouse politics.' - Goofy for Governor, 2022

Put money in your schools and 11.00 12.00 min and health care VW is some pretty country take care of your family

What’s the amusement park going to be called? Six Flags Meth Mountain? Seriously tho, if you wanna keep locals in WV & attract newcomers, go green. Coal is dying. Start setting up plants where solar panels & windmill parts are built. Promote eco-tourism. WV is a beautiful state.

Well if that huge yellow arrow doesn’t change your mind nothing will.

Would that not benefit him, a gillionaire, personally?

I love WV but this plan just ain’t it WVGovernor. Don’t tax beer, tobacco, and soda— don’t increase sales taxes when the state is too poor already. Make big businesses pay their taxes! Big business in WV already pay too little in taxes with most the burden falling on the ppl!!

Nobody wants to move to a backwards hick state.

uphill battle; it's one of the least healthy places in North America. maybe he should focus on that part; make it a healthier place to live.

Hey remember when you could light the water in WV on fire directly from the Tap- maybe Disney could work that into an attraction

Yeah, because that worked so well in Kansas...

Maybe WV should try electing a governor who doesn’t look like the animated corpse of a soldier from the War of 1812

You might build more libraries...

Jobs bring people. People move to a different place when there is opportunity for career advancement. Yes, people travel for entertainment and fun, but usually for sunshine and beaches. WVa has neither. Create well-paying jobs.

And my arrow indicates the direction in which the roller coaster will initially ascend followed by a deep descent...let me adjust my arrow so I can further explain how it works

less corruption would be nice

Worked in Kansas 👀👀

Small businesses Benefits from Big Population But Workers don't

Yippee yee I'm moving to West Virginia said nobody ever 🙄

Maybe stops cutting the tops off of mountains and do clean energy projects. West Virginia university may have to change their nickname to the plainsman instead of mountaineers

Want a population boom? Welcome more immigrants.

Fantasy thinking.

I think the biggest problem with this plan is that it requires people to live in West Virginia...

Infrastructure gets jobs ... a educated population gets jobs ... cutting taxes hurts both those endeavors ....

But only if you're white.

The Republican governor wants to do what? Will an amusement park and lower taxes fix the problems? Look at the state’s statistics from

If he does I will move to WV you can bet on it

JimJusticeWV maybe don’t try and tax craft beer then 🤔

Tell him if money gets into locals hands it will get spent locally.....small town will come back. Republicans giving tax breaks to the rich, that money goes overseas.

How about more progressive liberal politicians to lead the dumb asses Republicans in that state along ifvuvwantbto attract pple there.

Lol In my opinion, it will take many generations of better educated citizens to even plant the seed of change in WV.

Legal cannabis is also another revenue stream

How about offering Medicare For All? M4A

Maybe he should focus on modernization, like getting folks high speed data.

How 'bout just not being a shit hole state?

I've been to WV. There's a reason nobody wants to live there.

🍞 🎪

Maybe he should try to attract immigrants.

West Virginia has been doing a lot of good things lately, they are a state that could be on the rise very soon. Justice has been doing a lot of good things.

But raising the minimum raise to $15 is too extreme. Sen. Manchin thinks $11 will do. A Dollar General theme park with $7.25/hr pay won’t make people move or visit WV.

Mountain mama. Take me away. Country roads

Sounds like a kickback deal.

Attract green energy industries Gov.

Build better towns. Have more accessibility. Create better education. Create safer and more regulated jobs. It's not easy to get around in WV. There are logistical challenges to life there. Infrastructure needs hugely improved (especially rural internet and healthcare).

Lots of people from eastern WV commute to DC for work. I guess not enough to make the difference in the states overall economy.

I wonder if thum thar wesvergin'yinz can see that he's putting them in a distant second place to big corporations. Then again it's a con state so they probably never voted for him in the first place.

It’s not going to work. How about investing in your own people first, governor? Healthy people attract healthy people, like travelers and visitors curious to learn a new culture and way of life. Right now I’m just scared of West Virginia as an LGBT guy .

State with bottom 5 healthcare and education wants to reduce ability of it's public infrastructure even more. Seems smart.

Republicans trying to actually solve problems rather than poor fire on culture war issues

Make it less of an ignorant shithole. Try that.

Has Justice chatted with TuckerCarlson? Carlson’s quite concerned about overcrowding in the USA. Sounds like a state where he’d be happy to live since the WV population is in decline.

Brain worms.

It's the easiest, laziest thing to do and the GOP go-to for every problem, just lower taxes.

Oooo! Another Creation Museum?!?

WV is a naturally beautiful state. A bit like District 12. I hope they can attract some sort of business other than Dollar General and mountaintop mining.

Out of touch much Governor?

Republicans don't like people to talk about depressions. You can hardly blame them for that. You remember the old saying: Don't talk about rope in the house where somebody has been hanged. — Harry S. Truman

Get rid of Joe Manchin, heck I'll move there

Lmao. This seems like the beginning of a Parks & Rec episode except set at the governor’s office. There’s a glaringly obvious industry to invest in that will eventually drag WV kicking and screaming into the future whether they like it or not.

I hope he knows; it will still be West Virginia.

Gotta let the opioid addiction run its course and reimagine the appalachian economy before either of those things happen.
