The Federal Trade Commission is telling influencers to place 'simple and clear' disclosures about ads in a place where it's hard to miss on social media — new rules meant to protect consumers from deceptive ads.

A religious station(influencer?)started advertising products. I bought some collagen thinking a religious influencer can b trusted. Wrong. Only 25% of product was in the container. The rest was empty air.

Laughable, without enforcement.

rinarap Theoretically this rule could apply to every single person on social media since it includes personal relationships as well as business transactions. Everyone has followers and there is no legal definition of an influencer. daft

What about the rest of us who aren't moron Democrats?

Profiling should be a crime and google Facebook and others should be prosecuted for identity theft.

Great in theory. Will the FTC or the social platforms enforce it? Doubtful.
