The only reason this issue is discussed is because the Dems cannot win legally, so they must change the system to their advantage. Why not face the fact that your policies make you unelectable in a presidential race?
Electoral college had its purpose back in the day, but no more. We need to make sure the will of the majority is respected. Frankly I’m tired of having to bend to the will of a state who’s entire population is less than the city I live in.
I'm 💯% in favor of abolishing the ElectoralCollege too, but they're promising something that will never happen.
Of all the wisdom imparted by the Founding Fathers, the Electoral College may be the greatest. God bless them!
Abolishing the electoral college would leave the election of a President up to half a dozen states based on population Texas, California, New York, Florida, Pennsylvania and Illinois. The rest of the country wouldn’t matter.

Sounds good but it will take an Amendment to the Constitution which will require 2/3 of the states to ratify. Don't bet on it...

The electoral college exists for a very good reason. Imagine this, a political candidate goes to all the major cities, promises tax cuts, free healthcare, etc. But it's at the expense of the farmers and suburbs. Do they not deserve equal representation? Y'all are just salty trump
Until they lose with it being abolished and we'll have a new crop of Democrats demanding we make another change.
