Nice. Good for them

I guess they reaped enough benefits from them so now they return them. How about giving a portion of the profits they collected over the YEARS from displaying them?

Good. Now Britain needs to do the same thing cuz Queen Elizabeth has an entire cave filled with gold jewels & artifacts that they stole from other countries during their crusade to murder anyone that didn't believe in their God. they don't even know its point of origin on a lot

Well they’ll be destroyed if they do better to lock them up somewhere

I just don’t understand how we Africans allowed people to enter our countries and take whatever they wanted. Smh...

What about India? Egypt?China?

Artifacts: (n.): What white people call stolen goods that are over 100 years old. 🤔

SadisticWhiskey so instead of being visible to a wide range of people it'll collect dust in some dictator or war lord's collection. neat.

What took so long?

It should be done.

Orph_Elo So the artefacts are being returned to those who place zero historical value upon them and have no means to properly study or preserve them? This move feels completely backwards.

It's high time they do that! Also Italy is waiting some robbed paintings. In Rome Italy we had the huge Axum's Hobelisc and has been returned to Ethiopia since 2005. It was stolen by Mussolini's fascist government, in 1937, as reported by Corriere

So they can end up in some corrupt politician or dictators private collection? Cool.

I think it would be interesting to keep an eye on what is returned and see what happens to it.

Ok, cool but how do I get in contact with your producers? Story needs to be told

NPR Choice pagePeople are so emotional and dumb. 1000 people died in this country yesterday in auto accidents (happens every day), 40+ people were shot in Chicago this weekend (happens every weekend) and no news covers and no one gets scared. See how that works? 6. Count down the days to November 3, 2020, then vote for candidates who work for the people, not the NRA
