'It makes us feel like animals,' says one 17-year-old Philadelphia resident. 'Not all teens are bad, just because we want to go outside for a breath of fresh air at night.'

Talpiot, Boys and Girls. Research that. It is important. Only for mature people who wear the Big Pants and appreciate the truth.

Yes, I understand AOC is comparing the parks to Gitmo now.

I didn't hear it. But I can hear mosquitos perfectly.

JFC

I'm 32... I heard it. So hopefully other 'older adults' can hear it also complain because obviously they dont give a shit what teens or young adults have to say.

Sanctuary City congratulations!

I'm 22 and can't hear anything so this is stupid?

The ACLU should sue them.

if they stopped acting like animals they wouldnt be treated like the animals they are.

Taking a cue from Cuba?

I’m way over 25 and I can hear it just fine. I would say that at 5k this is more about siphoning taxpayers money right to the hands of the contractor who is selling and installing these things (and possibly the officials who arranged for such a contract)

Get off of my lawn! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Wouldn't it just be so sad if some teens were to, I dunno, smash the speakers?

How to keep teenagers away from your neighborhood in just 30 seconds?!!

Teenager bad. Loud noise good.

Society, forever: kids need to go outside and play in the park! They need fresh air! Get off the video games! Society, now: let’s make it impossible for kids to use and enjoy the park. 🙄

Joke’s on them: teenagers won’t hear the noises because they always wear headphones.

I’m 37 years old and can hear it loud and clear. Also, why would you want to stop a 25 year old from going to a park? Seems ridiculous.

Yikes, I'd absolutely love to see a gang of hearing impaired kids spend all night there.

This is WRONG and they should be removed right away!

Is this the Onion? Who took over NPR? How is this OK? Why do only people under 25 hear it? How can they know that?

Tell me, where do the children play.

Welcome to the real world where all it takes is a few to fuck things up for the rest.

This is the most absurd thing I have heard since the day Trump announced he was running for office. So damn pathetic!

19 and oh my god I would be so pissed if this came to the park near me (which is right by my neighborhood) Also this has to be messing with the wildlife. Frequencies like these are used for dog whistles.

YasminYonis I wonder what this does to the animals and insects trying to live in these parks.

What hours are the sirens operational? If they’re running from midnight to 5 AM I’m going to agree with there use.

YasminYonis jesus, who wants to live in this kind of world

Play outside. Just don’t go there after hours.

This is a joke.

Kids playing outside - give them and all those around them a fresh sense of vitality, and joy. Let the kids play! Its great for everyone

jwbussmann wtf

When I was in the Air Force, we told our younger airmen: 'Nothing good ever happens between one and four in the morning.' But for cryin' out loud, in the summer let the kids stay out a while longer.

Age discrimination coupled with racism. There outta be laws against these...oh? There are already? Coulda fooled me. countrytisofthem

sounds like a marketing ploy for noise-canceling earphones

Earphones probably work real well.

They're may be a good reason:

C'mon kids... just wear ear buds

Is this an “Onion” story?

They'll just find the emitters and take a rock to them.
